| Description: | The Friends were founded in 1934 and their objects are to promote, assist and improve the Curtis Museum and Allen Gallery. Friends enjoy a programme of talks from September to May and two summer outings - one evening and one lasting all day. They also help in the Allen Gallery garden and produce 'Alton Papers' - an annual publication of articles, mainly historical, about Alton and the surrounding villages. Visitors are always welcome to the indoor meetings. |
