Alton and Chawton are running a week of Jane Austen and Regency events celebrating the works of Jane Austen and the life in her day. A range of events are being run: music, talks, museum displays, readings, school visits, children's competition, horse-drawn carriages, 'Fashion through the ages' show, Victorian Cricket, Regency Evening, Chawton House Library open day. Some events are ticketed - others are free. Full details will be available in Spring 2008 in leaflets, posters, web listings and a dedicated website.
